Land Fitness
The Wellness and Fitness programs at the Woodlands are part of a community-oriented exercise and wellness initiative for people of all ages and levels of mobility. Our state-of-the-art, accessible Wellness Center provides adaptive equipment that enables participants to exercise and improve their overall health without barriers. The center offers fitness, sports, and recreation programs. A wellness speaker series focuses on areas such as nutrition, life style and mental health.

Land-Fitness Schedule and Registration
Woodlands Sports Club
Come to the Woodlands Sports Club and learn sports–specific skills while having fun with friends! This recreation-based fitness program is designed to get youth and teens active and learning! Sports covered include: Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, Dodgeball, Football, and Soccer! Instruction on each sport will be followed by game time each Saturday.
Date/Time:8 week session - Saturdays, 9:30-11:30 am
Cost: $125 (8-week rotation, beginning January 7th)
Ages: 8-18

Fitness Challenge
The Woodlands Fitness Challenge is a dynamic goal-oriented fitness program specifically designed for individuals with special needs. It is a group circuit training program that will improve health and skill related fitness components: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, body composition, flexibility, speed, power, agility, balance, and coordination. Those enrolled in the Fitness Challenge will be recognized based upon progression through the program. A personal assistant may be required depending on the participant’s ability.
Location: Woodlands Wellness Center
Days/Times: 8 week sessions - Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-7:30p.m.
Cost: 2 times per week: $170 or 1 time per week: $112

Zumba
A fusion of Latin and International music and dance provide an energetic aerobic fitness program. Participants will strengthen, tone, burn fat, and become more energized while having fun.
Zumba Gold
Designed for the active older adult, the true beginner, and/or people who are not used to exercising, or people who may be limited physically. A fusion of Latin and International music and dance provide an exciting aerobic fitness program.
Yoga
A mind/body class that enhances your balance, strength, and flexibility. Learn breathing and relaxation techniques to help ease the stress of your busy day.
Yoga Toning
The class applies traditional yoga principles to target specific parts of the body including abs, core, and glutes.
SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activities for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. SilverSneakers® is a registered mark of Healthways, Inc.
SilverSneakers® YogaStretch
YogaStretch will move your body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement.
