Enriching the lives of children and young adults with disability and chronic illness.

Adult Programs (ages 25 and older)

The Woodlands' Adult Programs are committed to bringing the excitement and benefits of our facility to our adult participants. One of the goals of the Adult Programs is to bring together a group of adults that share similar life experiences and challenges, in an effort to reinforce social and emotional support amongst their peers.
Adults with disability and chronic illness are an often overlooked and under-served population. The Woodlands believes that providing social and recreational opportunities for those with disability and chronic illness is vital to their quality of life. These adults typically live at home with family members and are not able to care for themselves at a level that would support an independent lifestyle or group home. Many of the parents and/or caregivers are elderly individuals, and are provided crucial respite, or time to themselves, during these programs at the Woodlands.
